{"id":16141,"date":"2019-03-14T15:09:53","date_gmt":"2019-03-14T15:09:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=16141"},"modified":"2019-03-14T15:09:53","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T15:09:53","slug":"apc-mourns-victims-of-lagos-building-collapse-as-death-toll-rises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=16141","title":{"rendered":"APC Mourns Victims of Lagos Building Collapse as death toll rises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The All Progressives Congress (APC) has joined the list of mourners for the lives of children and others that were lost on Wednesday in a building on Massey Street, Itafaji on Lagos Island.<br \/>\nEstimates of the dead and injured are not exactly known as the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) is expected to issue an official figure before the days end.<br \/>\nUnofficial sources put the deaths at over 15, while the Lagos Island General Hospital released a list of over 40 in stable conditions. We also pray for the safe rescue of those still reportedly trapped in the collapsed building rubble.<br \/>\n&#8220;While we commiserate with the government and people of Lagos state over the sad incident, the party is worried that the frequency of these building collapse and its attendant human casualties has become abnormal.
