Muhammad, CFR seven (7) working days to respond to petitions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Refers petition against CCT Chairman, Danladi Yakubu Umar to the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC).<br \/>\n\u2022 To reconvene on 11th February, 2019.<br \/>\nThe National Judicial Council held an Emergency Meeting today and considered four (4) petitions filed at its Secretariat. The petitions are:<br \/>\n\u2022 Petition against Hon. Mr. Justice W.S.N. Onnoghen, GCON by Zikhrillahi Ibrahim of Resource Centre for Human Rights &amp; Civil Education;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_14557\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14557\" style=\"width: 232px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14557\" src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/images.jpeg-4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"130\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-14557\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Walter Onnoghen<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u2022 Petition against Hon. Mr. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, CFR by Centre for Justice and Peace Initiative;<br \/>\n\u2022 Petition against Hon. Mr. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, CFR by Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, OON; and<br \/>\n\u2022 Petition against Hon. Danladi Yakubu Umar, Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal by Centre for Justice and Peace Initiative.<br \/>\nCouncil referred the petition against Hon. Danladi Yakubu Umar to the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) which is the appropriate constitutional body empowered to deal with it.<br \/>\nIn line with its procedure, Council also forwarded the petitions against Hon. Justices W.S.N. Onnoghen, GCON and I. T. Muhammad, CFR to them for their responses.<br \/>\nIn view of the gravity of the matters involved, Council abridged the usual response period from fourteen (14) to seven (7) working days for the Hon. Justices to respond.<br \/>\nHon. Mr. Justice W. S. N. Onnoghen, GCON and Hon. Mr. Justice I.T. Muhammad, CFR recused themselves from the meeting.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_14776\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14776\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-14776\" src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG-20190125-WA0018-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-14776\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mohammad, now has to answer petitions<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nConsequently, Council elected Hon.
