{"id":14788,"date":"2019-01-26T11:20:38","date_gmt":"2019-01-26T11:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=14788"},"modified":"2019-01-26T11:20:38","modified_gmt":"2019-01-26T11:20:38","slug":"2019-ohaneze-youth-back-nwodo-threaten-ngige-okorocha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=14788","title":{"rendered":"2019: Ohaneze Youth back Nwodo; threaten Ngige, Okorocha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <strong>Christian Chime<\/strong>, Awka<br \/>\nThe youth wing of the pan-Ndigbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, has commended its parent body for endorsing and throwing its weight behind the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar\/Peter Obi presidential ticket as the choice of Ndigbo in the\u00a0February 16, 2019\u00a0presidential election.<br \/>\nThe decision, the Ohaneze Youth noted, will resonate positive feelings for Ndigbo who before now were undecided about who to vote for in the next month&#8217;s presidential election.<br \/>\nThe group which addressed journalists after their meeting in Enugu through its president, Ambassador Arthur Uchenna Obiorah, expressed hope that the decision of the Ime-Obi of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide will restore confidence in the minds of Ndigbo to now openly declare their support for the presidential candidate of the PDP in the\u00a0February 16\u00a0presidential election.<br \/>\nThe group resolved never to allow any decision by the Ime-Obi Ohaneze Ndigbo to be neglected or treated with levity so that its impact will always be felt in the seven Igbo speaking states of Nigeria.<br \/>\nThe members declared the readiness to sanction individuals found wanting in the bid to subvert any of the decisions which was in the collective interest of Ndigbo worldwide.<br \/>\nDr. Obiorah noted that, &#8220;We are poised to sanction anyone who may want to work contrary to the general decision of our parent body, Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide.<br \/>\n\u2018\u2019We the youths are ready to expose saboteurs in our midst and ensure Ndigbo worldwide are made to buy into the collective decision of Ime-Obi, the highest\u00a0\u00a0body of the Ohanze Ndigbo worldwide which position is regarded as laws in Igbo land, I repeat, no Sabo will have a say again in Igboland&#8221;, he threatened.<br \/>\nThey warned the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige; Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha among those being closely monitored for sanction.<br \/>\nThe Youths equally resolved to henceforth embark on massive mobilization of Igbo youths across the states of Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, Delta and Rivers states of Nigeria; promising to move very fast in\u00a0ensuring the resolutions of the Ohaneze Ndigbo were carried out to the letter, so as to deliver bloc votes to the PDP presidential candidate in the coming election.<br \/>\nThey also commended the stand of the PDP pair of Atiku and Obi to pursue the issue of\u00a0restructuring the federation, a stand reconfirmed during the recent visit to the United States by Atiku, in his meetings with high-level US officials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Christian Chime, Awka The youth wing of the pan-Ndigbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, has commended its parent body for endorsing and throwing its weight behind the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar\/Peter Obi presidential ticket as the choice of Ndigbo in the\u00a0February 16, 2019\u00a0presidential election.
