{"id":13903,"date":"2018-12-17T16:38:36","date_gmt":"2018-12-17T16:38:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=13903"},"modified":"2018-12-17T16:38:36","modified_gmt":"2018-12-17T16:38:36","slug":"gunmen-attack-kaduna-village-many-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=13903","title":{"rendered":"Gunmen attack Kaduna village, many dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gunmen have reportedly attacked Ungwan Paa-Gwandara village in Jema\u2019a Local Government, Kaduna State on Sunday night.<br \/>\nMr Joshua Paul, a resident of the community told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kafanchan on Monday that the attack was at a wedding ceremony at about 8:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u201cNine persons were killed on the spot while five died this morning at the Kafanchan General Hospital.<br \/>\n\u201cSeventeen others including six children who suffered severe degree of bullet injuries are still in critical condition,\u201d he said<br \/>\nMrs Victoria Martins, a victim who was being treated at the General Hospital in Kafanchan, told NAN that women and children were affected.<br \/>\nConfirming the report, Chairman of Jema\u2019a council, Mr Peter Averik, told NAN on telephone that he was yet to be fully briefed on the incident.<br \/>\nHe said that security agents had since been drafted to the affected community.<br \/>\nEfforts to get the reaction of the police on the incident was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gunmen have reportedly attacked Ungwan Paa-Gwandara village in Jema\u2019a Local Government, Kaduna State on Sunday night.
