{"id":13435,"date":"2018-11-14T11:22:57","date_gmt":"2018-11-14T11:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=13435"},"modified":"2018-11-14T11:22:57","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T11:22:57","slug":"obosi-22-shops-multi-million-naira-property-machineries-razed-by-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=13435","title":{"rendered":"Obosi: 22 shops, Multi million Naira property, machineries razed by fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <strong>Chuks Moses,<\/strong> Awka<br \/>\nA fire outbreak last night razed down no fewer than 22 shops, machineries,\u00a0finished products, raw materials and other properties were destroyed at the\u00a0Ekene Workshop cluster of Polythene Factories located at Awada -Obosi in Idemili North Council of Anambra State.<br \/>\nConfirming the report, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Haruna Mohammed(SP), noted that the sad occurrence happened at about\u00a010:10pm\u00a0when everyone had closed, gone home and were fast asleep.<br \/>\nHe disclosed that on receipt of a distress call, a Police Patrol team attached to Awada Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Tony Adeyi, rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area for rescue mission and to prevent looters from taking advantage.<br \/>\nAccording to him, the Fire Service department was contacted but before their arrival, the fire was eventually contained through concerted efforts by the community\u00a0 who rushed to the scene and put off the fire.<br \/>\nHe said preliminary inquiry revealed that the fire was suspected to have emanated from electric spark which affected\u00a0 about 22 shops.<br \/>\nHe reiterated that a similar incident occurred at the same location sometimes in February, 2018 and that investigation was already going on now\u00a0to ascertain circumstances surrounding this latest incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Chuks Moses, Awka A fire outbreak last night razed down no fewer than 22 shops, machineries,\u00a0finished products, raw materials and other properties were destroyed at the\u00a0Ekene Workshop cluster of Polythene Factories located at Awada -Obosi in Idemili North Council of Anambra State.
