{"id":12447,"date":"2018-10-05T18:31:06","date_gmt":"2018-10-05T18:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=12447"},"modified":"2018-10-05T18:31:06","modified_gmt":"2018-10-05T18:31:06","slug":"apc-nwc-defies-governor-dissolves-zamfara-state-party-executives-at-all-levels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=12447","title":{"rendered":"APC NWC Defies Governor, Dissolves Zamfara State Party Executives at all levels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The face-off between the Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the party&#8217;s governorship primaries has taken a turn for the worse as the NWC has expelled the Party executives in Zamfara State at all levels.<br \/>\nThe primaries in Zamfara were cancelled after violence erupted midway into the exercise. A Senator, Kabir Marafa, claimed he was winning before it was disrupted; accusing his political rival, Governor Yari, of been behind the fiasco.<br \/>\nHe pointedly accused Yari of setting the State on fire in a statement. Marafa said, \u201cYari set the state on fire just to perfect his plot to upturn the people\u2019s will and impose on them stooges with the sole aim of continuing with his misrule through proxies after May 29, 2019.<br \/>\nA statement by party spokesman, Mr. Yekini Nabena, stated that by the decision of NWC, &#8220;all supposed Party factions in Zamfara State stands dissolved.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe added: &#8220;The NWC-inaugurated committee for Zamfara State are to conduct the Governorship and Legislative primaries in the State. Hence, the Zamfara State Governor, H.E. Alh. Abdul\u2019aziz Abubakar Yari and the dissolved executives in the state should not interfere in the primary elections in the State.<br \/>\nIn another statement, Nabena clarified that the National Working Committee (NWC) disqualified and barred Party executives at all levels in Zamfara State from participating in the rescheduled APC primaries in the state.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;This is in compliance with an order of the court to that effect.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Therefore, all affected officers should not play any role in the rescheduled primaries.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Furthermore, the Governorship primaries for Zamfara State will hold <a href=\"calendar:T5:tomorrow\">tomorrow<\/a> <a href=\"calendar:T2:6th October, 2018\">6th October, 2018<\/a> while the Legislative primaries will hold on <a href=\"calendar:T2:Sunday 7th October, 2018\">Sunday 7th October, 2018<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Government officials are warned not to interfere in the process,&#8221; the statement added.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The face-off between the Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the party&#8217;s governorship primaries has taken a turn for the worse as the NWC has expelled the Party executives in Zamfara State at all levels.
