{"id":11980,"date":"2018-09-19T07:33:03","date_gmt":"2018-09-19T07:33:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=11980"},"modified":"2018-09-19T07:33:03","modified_gmt":"2018-09-19T07:33:03","slug":"2019-free-fair-transparent-process-must-not-be-compromised-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=11980","title":{"rendered":"2019: Free, fair, transparent process must not be compromised- Mark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Primary, top contender, Senator David Mark, has stated that whether by consensus or delegates election, free, fair, credible and transparent process must not be compromised.<br \/>\nAddressing PDP faithfuls in Lokoja, Kogi State Tuesday as part of his consultation to clinch the PDP ticket, Senator Mark added that whichever process is chosen by the party to elect its flag bearer, the will of the people must prevail.<br \/>\nHe said he welcomes innovation but such must be anchored on the general interest of the people.<br \/>\nSenator Mark added; \u201cI am contesting the Presidential election because I can make a positive difference for the good of the nation\u201d.<br \/>\nThe Presidential hopeful said he has designed an economic blueprint that would turn around the nation\u2019s ailing economy within two years of his administration if elected.<br \/>\nHis proposed economic model he termed \u201cProject 730\u201d would be anchored by young professionals selected from all parts of the country.<br \/>\n\u201cI have something to offer. My programme would be premised on our unity, stability and prosperity of our nation. My word is my bond,\u201d he stated.<br \/>\nState Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Sam Uhuotu, said Senator Mark has a rich credential that qualifies him to be elected President of Nigeria.<br \/>\nUhuotu promised to canvass for Mark as the preferred choice for the Presidential ticket.<br \/>\nA party leader in Kogi State, Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Mark\u2019s Campaign Director General, Senator Zainab Kure and Senator Suleiman Adokwe separately reeled out the sterling leadership qualities of the aspirant which they said were needed to lead the nation.<br \/>\nRecall that on Monday, former military head of state, General Abdulsalam Abubakar had said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant, Senator David Mark is one of the capable hands needed to lead the nation out of the woods.<br \/>\nGeneral Abdulsalam made this remark when he played host to Senator Mark\u2019s Campaign Team in his Abuja residence, disclosing that the latter has over the years demonstrated unwavering commitment and service to his fatherland.<br \/>\n\u201cBoth as a military officer and politician, Senator Mark has proved to be a reliable and competent administrator.
