President Muhammadu Buhari will be starting a 10 working days vacation on Friday, according to a statement issued on Twitter by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu.
\nIn effect, the President will be away for between 12 and 14 days since Saturday’s and Sundays are not factored as working days.
\nShehu added that in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the President of the Senate, and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect.
\nIn Buhari’s absence, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN, will act as President. According to Shehu, the President will be in London for the duration of the vacation.
\nBut Wednesday, the President visited his refurbished 2019 presidential campaign headquarters in Abuja.
\nThe same building, now wearing a spiffy look was the campaign headquarters for the 2015 election.
\nAmong those on the President\u2019s entourage during the visit were his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and other senior government officials.
\nThe delegation was received by the Director-General of the President’s 2019 Campaign Organisation and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
