After nearly three years of acting as if all was well in the party, the Chieftains of the party have woken up to the reality of trouble within its fold.
Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari took te first steps of putting the house of the legacy parties in order, naming national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, head of the reconciliation committee.
Buhari’s spokesman, Maalam Garba Shehu, saId yesterday in a statement: “As part of on-going efforts to improve cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari has designated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence building efforts.
“The assignment will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.”
