Disciples in action

“All of creation waits with eager longing for God to reveal his children” (Romans 8:19, GNB)

Which are these children of God? They are His disciples, made in His image after His likeness (Romans 8:29)

They are ever seeking the Lord rather than His blessings, and things of eternal life (Jn. 1:38-39; 6:68)

“They manifest God’s glory by being full of grace and truth (John 1:14)

They are known by their love for God and their love for one another, manifest in their obedience to God, love and care for one another (Jn. 13:35; 14:15)

And most importantly, they bear fruits for Christ, fruits that abide: “You give glory to my Father when you produce a lot of fruit and therefore show that you are my Disciples” – Jn. 15:58, GWT
