Press Release.

By Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, to the State PDP Chairman,, Bro. Felix Obuah.

Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah, has advised a faction of the embattled Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to join hands with well-meaning Nigerians and prevail on the APC-led Federal Government to return the State funds stolen by former State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi principally from the proceeds of the State Gas Turbines arbitrarily and unlawfully sold by the former Governor at the twilight of his exit.

The State PDP boss described as childish, the call by the embattled Rivers APC faction for the resignation of Governor Wike for raising alarm over the millions of dollars discovered in Amaechi’s Ikoyi residence.

Berating the Amaechi’s faction of the APC in the State, the State PDP chairman said the Presidency is already investigating the Ikoyi ‘million dollar’ saga sequel to the lid blown off the bottle and the data provided by Governor Wike.

Bro Obuah wondered why the Amaechi’s faction of the State APC would want the facts of their principal’s ownership of the recovered loot swept under the carpet instead of joining well-meaning Nigerians to insist that the money be returned to Rivers State Government coffers for the completion of Governor Wike’s developmental projects.

“May we remind the Amaechi’s faction of the Rivers APC that Governor Wike during a recent press conference announced to journalists that a team of lawyers were already working on the matter, insisting that the Rivers State Government will get to the root of the matter”, the State PDP Chairman declared, stressing that the $43 million found in Amaechi’s Ikoyi Oshorne Towers flat belongs to the Rivers State Government.
