Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced the arrest of three employees of an electrical company for stealing electric cable wires.
DSP Timfon John, the Police Public Relations Officer revealed that operatives of the Command effected the arrest following credible information at its disposal.
The PPRO disclosed that, “acting on credible information, the suspects were apprehended while unlawfully removing and concealing electrical wires belonging to the company”.
The names of the suspects listed are Excellent Victor, Favour Kpenu and Francis Amos, all males.
John stated that, “Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement.
“They will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare has reiterated the Command’s commitment to upholding law and order in the state.
He warned that criminal acts will not be condoned in any form in the state.
The police command therefore charged members of the public to report suspicious activities promptly to aid ongoing efforts in crime prevention across the state.
