Former Rivers Senator and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Lee Maeba, has lost his mother, a statement by his spokesman, Letam Ledum Godgift, has said.
The statement this Friday reads: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs Erefori Nawa Maeba, a beloved mother, community pillar and compassionate soul. Mrs Maeba passed away yesterday September 5th, 2024 at 11:45AM after a brief illness at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH).
“The octogenarian was the beloved mother to distinguished Senator Lee Ledogo Maeba, who has been a representative of the Rivers South East Senatorial District. She was widely admired for her love and great deeds for humanity.
“We offer our deepest condolences to the Maeba family and the community during this difficult time, and extend our heartfelt sympathies to all who were touched by her life and legacy. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort for all who knew and loved her.”
