Video: Watch moment Abuja residents flee from FCTA warehouse with looted foodstuff

Must read

Everyday.ng has learnt that it was actually a warehouse of the Agriculture and Rural Development  Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), in Gwagwa in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) that was stripped bare by looters early Sunday morning.

The shocking development in the heart of the country’s capital, after similar incidents in some northern cities, signposts the desperation by hungry and angry Nigerians.

Initially, the looted warehouse was thought to be that of the Nigerian Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), but the agency denied it was its own, but sympathised with the owner.

A source told Everyday.ng: “It was a bad situation. We lost everything.”

A full statement was still being awaited from the Police, at press time.
