He thought it was a done deal. His lawyer had done due diligence and the result showed no encumberement. Kilony, not his real name, then proceeded to pay for the land. It was not until he mobilized workers to the site that another claimant showed up dangling a “right of occupancy”. But alas it was fake, for it was procured after Kilony had already paid for the land.
Every Believer in Christ was paid for by our Lord Jesus. He alone can stake a claim over our lives, for He holds the genuine right of occupancy. Every other claimant to our lives, whether Satan, Society or Self, is a trespasser.
In Christ, not even the host of hell, with all it’s fury, has a right to our lives and destiny. We are to resist him standing on God’s word, and pleading the price paid – the blood of our redemption.
