‘Buried’ 11 years old boy’s stepmother ‘disappears’, lost own mother years ago

The 11 years old boy buried alive by his 17 years old step-brother, Goodness Oshodi, at Apamsede, near Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, on allegation of stealing N1,000, lost his biological mother years ago, it has emerged.

Master Friday Oshodi, it was learnt, moved in with his father and stepmother.

Little Friday’s traumatic ordeal on Wednesday, which video sent shock waves through the country, is alleged to have the connivance of his stepmother, who is said to be at large.

The Police Publication Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in Kogi state, SP William Aya, disclosed that the police had arrested Goodness and commenced investigation into the case.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba, vowed that the state government would prosecute everyone involved in burying Friday Oshodi alive.

Buba, told journalists in Lokoja, state capital on Thursday, that the ministry was also making arrangements to put the victim in an orphanage home.

According to her, information indicates that the boy was been maltreated by his stepmother and brother.

“The victim, Friday Oshodi, is currently in our custody while the prime suspect, Goodness Oshodi, is in Police net.

“This is wickedness of the highest order. How will some body bury a fellow human alive?

”The woman who ordered for the punishment of this young boy is currently at large.

“I’m assuring the general public that she will be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law”.
