GOSHEN is a region of ancient Egypt, granted to Jacob and his descendants by the king of Egypt [NOT BY JEHOVAH] until the Exodus (Genesis 45:10).
GOSHEN symbolises our place of comfort and plenty in this world. It is often more of a concession by the world than a blessing from the Lord. Never mind that it may give us an edge in a troubled world, and a reason to testify of God’s goodness.
The danger of “Goshen” however is that it can make us so comfortable in Egypt, this world, that we forget Canaan (Heaven), our real home. The Lord had to upset life in Goshen to get His people on their journey to Canaan.
Is your “Goshen” of blessing, comfort and testimony experiencing some storm? God may well be getting you on an exodus to your Canaan. *Our comfort zone is often a confining zone.
