Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has withdrawn the name of Dr. Ibrahim Yusuf Ngoshe as commissioner nominee.
According to his spokesman, Mr. Malam Isa Gusau, in a statement on Saturday, the number of commissioner nominees, is down from 18 to 17.
Gusau said further details will be provided should the need arise., but it later emerged that Ngoshe’s name was withdrawn over issues around an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation of a N25 million financial malfeasance.
Zulum had on Friday, July 28, 2023 submitted 18 names to the Borno State House of Assembly, including that of Ngoshe whose name was the 13th on the list.
