Like it did weeks ago, before been stopped in its tracks by a National Industrial Court (NIC) order, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has, again, issued a 7-day notice to the Federal Government to embark on a nationwide strike.
The ultimatum is coming 24 hours after resident doctors embarked on a strike.
It was learnt that the decision was reached at NLC’s Central Working Committee, CWC, meeting held Tuesday at Abuja.
The workers’ union is asking for the reversal of all recent policies, like the recent hike in the pump price of petrol.
It was gathered that the NLC has directed all its affiliates and state councils to immediately begin mobilisation of workers.
