As has become its tradition, the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation has conducted another relief distribution exercise to Christian Internally Displaced Persons ( IDPs) in Agatu Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State. The relief distribution covered four communities that suffered repeated attacks by alleged Fulani herdsmen.
The affected communities are Adeka, Ebete, Olegodede, and Oweto
Olegodede was attacked in 2022, while Adeka and Ebete communities were attacked recently in January 2023. All the four communities were repeatedly attacked in the last decade by the Fulani herdsmen with varying cases of fatalities.
The foundation’s spokesperson, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel, said the relief distribution reached 360 households in the four Christian communities.” The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the people of God who remembered them in their affliction,” he said.
He thanked and blessed Bro. David and Bro. Michael for faithfully undertaking the project.
He also thanked all the kind-hearted Christians who donated the funds for the project. “God bless you and replenish your purse. May God count it for you as righteousness and remember you for good on the day of the Lord,
“Thank you for supporting the ministry to the persecuted Christians in Nigeria. May the Lord hear you, and help you in the day of trouble,” he prayed.
The foundation advised that donations be made to the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation to account number 10 24 93 74 91 at the UBA.
