The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, was reelected for a second term of four years.

There are fears of a governor of a north-central state being a casualty of the March 18 elections, while another from a north-eastern state is said to be on slippery grounds, going by available results so far. They may lose their seats, Everyday.ng gathered, to opposition parties when the tally of votes from a handful of other local government areas are brought in.
