We had an open confrontation with the campaign team of Godwin Emefiele when they insisted on posting his banners and billboards at Eagle Square contrary to party instructions.
They flooded the city centre with his posters, in flagrant violation of the Public Service Act as a serving CBN governor and against party regulations.
Emefiele, urged on by some recalcitrant elements within and outside the party, went ahead to purchase the party nomination form in the summer of the same year using fifth columnists for the sum of N100m, even though he didn’t appear before the screening committee.
Emefiele didn’t score a single vote during the party, primaries, and is a stranger to APC nationwide. Those group of persons giving him the courage to carry out all these anti-APC and anti-people monetary policy measures are hell-bent on destroying whatever iota of progressive legacy this outgoing Buhari government was to leave behind. What a mess!
Emefiele and his likes have no justification for whatever reasons to embark on these unprofessional, unprogressive and lacklustre currency redesign measures at this time of the nation’s democratic and economic development history if it is not aimed at taking a pound of flesh on the APC for not ‘dashing’ him our ticket on a platter of gold. What a mean man….
Indeed history will be unkind to him. Some might be naive to the truth right now, but at the right time, the innocent and the enlightened citizens will be on the same page, and those who don’t mean well for Nigeria will be put to Shame.
