*MY PR??YER FOR OUR DEMOCRACY

O’Lord our God, we need your help in Nigeria *for our democracy to thrive and our politics to be more SERVICE and DEVELOPMENT oriented.*
Help us to move *our political discourse to shift* from PARTIES and PERSONALITIES to PROCESSES, PROGRAMS and PROJECTS
Please give us *REPRESENTATIVES and LEGISLATURES that truly represent the people’s interests* and provide robust, informed and quality oversights so *our EXECUTIVES do not become medevial KINGS and DESPOTS.*
_And Lord, just before you get tired of me, please *grant our ELECTORATES to be more and well ENLIGHTENED, INFORMED*, to see beyond (social) MEDIA HYPES and BULLIES to elect leaders they truly believe in; leaders with INITIATIVE COMPETENCE and DELIVERY CAPACITY. Leaders that inspire HOPE, TRUST and CONFIDENCE.
_Finally Lord, at least for this time, *help us CITIZENS to see elections beyond POLLING and RESULTS*. Give us the WISDOM, COURAGE and DILIGENCE *to hold and demand whoever we elect ACCOUNTABLE.*
And *to JUDGE AND HOLD OURSELVES BY THE SAME VALUES AND STANDARDS WE HOLD OUR LEADERS,* so we won’t be HYPOCRITES._
