President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate seeking the confirmation of seven nominees as ministers..
The nominees are: Henry Ikechukwu – Abia State, Umana Okon Umana – Akwa-Ibom State; Ekuma Joseph – Ebonyi State; Goodluck Nana Obia – Imo State; Umar Ibrahim Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegorioye – Ondo State; Odo Udi – Rivers State.
The nominees are to replace, among others, Rotimi Amaechi (Transportation Minister); Ogbonnaya Onu (Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister); Godswill Akpabio (Niger Delta), and Emeka Nwajiuba (Education Minister of State) who resigned their appointments to pursue presidential aspirations.
