Exactly eight years and two months after she was abducted with over 270 others, troops of 26 Task Force Brigade on patrol around Ngoshe in Borno State are claiming to have found Mrs. Mary Ngoshe, suspected to be one of the abducted girls from Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Chibok, Borno State.
She was”intercepted” on 14 June 2022 with her son, the Nigerian Army is saying on its Facebook handle adding that “further exploitation” on the development is ongoing.
Recall that on the night of 14th of April 2014, 276 mostly Christian female students were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from their school as they were preparing to take one of their final exams.
57 of the girls jumped off the truck they were being ferried away in; others were freed by the abductors in negotiations with the federal government, while 111 are still yet to return. There are speculations some may have died.
