Angry fans on Tuesday night stormed the pitch after Nigeria lost a ticket to the World Cup forcing security forces to disperse then with tear-gas.
Some facilities in the MKO Abiola Stadium were destroyed. The main bowl of the stadium where the match took place was rehabilitated by billionaire, Aliko Dangote, free of charge over a year ago.
On social media, others thought Nigeria did not deserve to be at Qatar 2022. Nigeria drew with Ghana 1-1 in Abuja with Ghana giving the other West African country a berth at football biggest tourney.
