Two themes dominate authentic, Biblical Christianity: SALVATION and DISCIPLESHIP.
In SALVATION, the LORD God made the ultimate sacrifice. He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, as a price for our redemption. On the basis of that, we can COME TO Him for forgiveness, salvation, healing, deliverance, blessings and unction.
“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28, GNB)
In DISCIPLESHIP, we COME AFTER Him in complete surrender so we can follow, worship, learn and serve. This requires a price in self-denial, and complete abandonment to His will.
“If one of you is planning to build a tower, you sit down first and work out what it will cost … In the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless you give up everything you have” (John 14:28, 33)
To be our Redeemer and Saviour, Jesus paid with his life. To be His disciples and servants requires our life and all.
