The Cross River State Police Command has warned those trying to incite a second #Endsars protest in the state to be ready to face the full wrath of the law, if they would not desist from such plans.
The warning comes as the official report of the first report shows what appears to be a systematic targeting of former political office holders and their properties by hoodlums.
One of the former public office holders, who was at home when the hoodlums struck in October 2020, escaped by hair’s breath with his wife and daughter.

Cross River Police command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, said the police has received several reports pointing towards incitement of young people in the state to engage in a second protest against the police.
She warned that the command would not fold its arm and watch hoodlums take a second advantage of the people.
Her words on Friday in Calabar, “There was a distress call from MCC Junction a few days ago and a tactical unit responded immediately. Some young men were questioned in the process and the matter was resolved amicably after questioning.
“We want to use this medium to warn those who want to use this avenue as an opportunity to carry out a second EndSars protest to be cautioned.
“We are alert, anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law. We are also mindful that law abiding citizens have rights and they must be protected; we therefore, implore anyone who feel his rights were violated to approach our office accordingly.
“We will not allow a second #Endsars protest in Calabar or any part of the state, never again.”
She promised that the police would ensure utmost professionalism on the part of its officers in the discharge of their duties, adding no officer would be allowed to molest, harass or brutalise anyone unjustly.
