LIFE ON THIS SIDE OF ETERNITY is full of challenges, and no one is exempt. “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble…” (Job 14:1).
What is the essence of these challenges, and what should be our attitude to and in them? Brother Paul, in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 1, gives us some tips:
_¶ Our challenges are an opportunity to experience God’s comfort (vs. 4a)
¶ Our challenges equip us to dispense God’s comfort (vs. 4b)
¶ Challenges diminish faith in ourselves and grow our faith in God (vs. 9,10)
¶ They provide an opportunity for others to invest their prayers and grace in our lives and share in our victory and joy (vs.11)
Genuine faith does not deny the reality of life’s challenges, it only looks beyond them to God’s grace, victory and sovereign purpose in them.
