An unspecified number of students and staff of the Government Day Secondary School, Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area (LGA), have been abducted while a prayer session was ongoing faraway in the palace of the Emir of Gusau in the state capital.
Unconfirmed reports put the figure of those abducted at about 100.
State Governor, Bello Matawalle, the Emir and prominent citizens of the state were at the prayer session for the insecurity in the state.
It was gathered that the school was in session before noon when the bandits struck.
No official comments has been made by the Police as at the time of this report.
