Every Nation that is troubled is either troubled by a king Ahab or a prophet Elijah.
AHAB represents everything evil and wrong with socio – political leadership and governance: wickedness, incompetence, injustice, insensitivity, oppression, corruption, nepotism and flagrant abuse of peoples rights and liberty. This is bad trouble for any nation and people.
ELIJAH, on the other hand, represents the voice of truth, hope, justice and righteous indignation against the Ahabs of our nation and time. This is good trouble for the people but bad trouble for wicked leaders.
The irony in all this is that, very often than not, it is the Elijahs who get hounded and harassed by agents of Ahab, accused of being the “trouble makers”
May The Lord grant us more troublers for righteousness in our land and checkmate all troublers for wickedness.
