Another member of the North Central Peoples’ Forum, (NCPF) has died, a week after one, former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu, passed.
In a statement, head of the NCPF sub-committee on Publicity, Dr. Tunde Olusunle, wrote: “We have just received the sad news of the demise of one of our respected elders and leaders of the North Central Peoples’ Forum, (NCPF), Professor David Iyornongu Ker, OON, former Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, (BSU) and Veritas University, respectively.
“He was on the NCPF delegation which paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Senator Ibrahim Nasir Mantu, CFR, last week, and was also on the team which visited the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, a fortnight ago.
“Prof Ker marked his 70th birthday June 6, 2021. He was a seasoned professor of English who taught in several universities and Chairman of the federal government visitation panel to the Federal University of Technology, Yola.”
“May his gentle soul rest in peace.
“He will be sorely missed.”
