Former Police Commissioner of Police in Abuja, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Bala Ciroma is to head the Police Zonal Office, Zone-7, based in Abuja.
His posting approved by the Inspector-General,
Usman Alkali Baba comes alongside that of AIG Usman Belel, who takes over at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex Lagos.
AIG John Amadi now heads the Maritime Department; while AIG Adeleke Adeyinka moves to Zone 9 in Umuahia, Abia State.
In a statement, Force spokesman, Commissioner of Police, Frank Mba, discloses further, “In line with the new Manpower Development Policy of the Force, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, has ordered the posting and redeployment of twenty-four (24) Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to Zonal Commands and Formations as indicated below:

Mba says the IGP has assured the nation that the posting and redeployment of the Senior Police Officers will further help in driving the new policing vision, which amongst other things, is targeted at improving policing services across the country and effectively responding to security threats in the country.
