The student of Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School, Tegina, Zaynab Salle Boka, was said to have escaped to Pandogari town, from where she was taken by a good samaritan to the village head of Allawa, Mallam Umaru.

The village head subsequently handed her over to the the Chairman of Rafi Local Government Area (LGA), Alhaji Ismaila Modibo.

“Zaynab is undergoing medical treatment and profiling before she will be handed over to her parents….She is in the hospital somewhere around Tegina,” the source said.

Boka is 16th official escapee after 15 adults of the over 150 students and adults were taken captive on a Sunday over a month ago.

Meanwhile, Madaki’s wives – Habiba and Aisha – were released by their abductors bandits who collected N5m ransom and two Bajaj Motorcycles worth almost N2m before setting them free.

A source, preferring anonymity because of the nature of the crime and fearing for his own life, hinted that N10 million may have parted hands before the district head was freed.
