Redeemed Church officially announces death of Adeboye’s look-alike son

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has officially announced the death of the third child of its leader and General Overseer, Pastor Dare Adeboye, in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

The official statement issued by the official Public Relations account of the ministry, reads

“It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021.

“His life was well lived as he served the Lord without reserve, giving effortlessly and leading fearlessly. He was crowned by the Lord with blessings of 3 seeds and a beautiful wife.

“Though shaken, our anchor remain Jesus Christ in whom we have the assurance that we will one day meet in a place where there is no pain.

“It is the wish of the family to be left alone at this moment, and we pray the Lord keep you as you honour this humble request.

“Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, June 9th 1978 – May 4th 2021. Remain forever in our heart. Please note that this is not a COVID-19 related death.”

The RCCG did not give details of his death though the media has been awash with how he went to have a sleep but did not wake up.

The death of the pastor was confirmed Thursday by the family of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, but they appealed to be left alone to mourn the passage of Dare.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has extended deepest sympathies to the family of Pastor Adeboye, over the the passing of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

In a statement from his office, he also commiserated with members of the RCCG on the demise of the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, President Buhari urges them to find comfort in the teachings of the Holy Scriptures that those who have chosen to serve God faithfully will see Him as He is in eternity.

The President prays God Almighty to grant the departed rest in His everlasting kingdom and comfort grieving family, friends and associates.

On his part, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, condoled with the entire Adeboye family and members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide over the sudden death of one of their shepherds.

“I share their deep grief over the loss of a beloved son, husband, father and committed labourer in the Lord’s Vineyard.
“May God Almighty comfort the highly respected Pastor, his family and the entire members of his flock over this great loss and repose the soul of the deceased in eternal bliss,” Lawan said.
