APC fantasy to rule Nigeria for 32 years is shameless arrogance in self delusion

The Conveners and Leadership of the National Consultative Front, NCFront are nauseated by the irresponsible and arrogant statement of the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC that they plan to continue to rule Nigeria for the next 32 years inspite of the mess of insecurity, corruption and anarchy the Party has foisted on the country within the spate of two terms of been able to swindle Nigerians of State power

We are particularly miffed that an undemocratic sit tight leadership structure of the APC caretaker committee, led, in aberration, by a sitting Governor, imposed on the Party by a Nigerian Presidency, which has been unable to deliver on its critical cardinal promises to Nigerians, could have the audacity to entertain such shameful aspirations, having run the country aground as a criminal enterprise into a sorry situation of a failed state and poverty capital of the world within 6 years of its disastrous grip on state power.

However, if we are to dissect the serious cracks and bottled up tension within the APC, which is occasioned by formidable disenchantment with the imposition of the undemocratic caretaker committee and its ongoing divisive membership revalidation exercise as well as the disappointing lacklustre performance of the Buhari Presidency run by proxies of a tiny cabal of friends and clan relations of General Buhari, we can authoritatively assert that the APC will most likely implode and scatter before the end of this year, 2021 and fizzle into oblivion, which is why they are unwilling to hold their statutory elective Convention, knowing fully well that the Nigerian Peoples have also massively rejected their rudderless and unconscionable rule

Moreover, Nigerians are aware that most of those currently joining the sinking ship of the APC, especially from the PDP, are corrupt birds of the same feather, who have some skeletons to hide in their cup boards as well as ill gotten public wealth to protect; having been quietly blackmailed and harassed by APC guns with possible prosecution by APC controlled anti graft agencies,; as being currently done to their National Leader in a bid to make him drop his 2023 presidential ambition.

The NCFront very conscious of the yearnings of Nigerians for a messianic rescue political alternative to deliver Nigeria from the ruin foisted on the country by the APC, wishes to warn all well meaning Nigerians to discountenance and distance themselves from the infatuation and desperation of the incohesive and drowning APC, as the NCFront historic merger committee inaugurated last week by Leaders of Conscience in Nigeria, is set to launch a credible value driven mega party movement by July 2021 to save Nigerians from the monumental disaster brought upon the country by the APC.

Members of the esteemed Merger Committee of the NCFront are: Rt Hon Ghali Umar Na’aba – Chairman, Chief Raph Okey Nwosu (ADC, National Chairman) – Vice Chair, Dr Olu Agunloye (SDP, National Chairman) – Secretary, Dr Osagie Obayuwana (Former National Chairman, NCP), Arch Ezekiel Nya Etok( Former National Chairman, YDP), High Chief Peter Ameh( Former Chairman of IPAC and Chairman, PPA), Dr Tanko Yunusa ((National Chairman, NCP), Senator Zainab A. Kure (Member), Rt Hon Jumoke Akindele ( Former Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly)

Finally, the Terms of Reference of the NCFront initiated merger committee are as follows:

1. To Identify all Political Parties, Groups and Stakeholders that share and embrace the aspirations and vision of the NCFront for Nigeria are willing to merge and fuse with other political platforms with similar ideological values to form one formidable ideological Mega Party to rescue Nigeria

2. To interface and engage all political platforms and Stakeholders identified as interested or potential ideological allies in the political merger.

3. To extract formal commitment in writing from all platforms and allies interested in the NCFront initiated merger

4. To Facilitate democratic and inclusive negotiations of the slatings of an interim leadership Structure, Constitution, Manifesto, Logo, Motto, Slogan, Name, Acronym etc of the new mega party

5. To recommend the most suitable and amenable political party among the existing registered political parties in the merger discussion for adoption or initiate the registration of a new political party, if feasible

6. To submit its final report and recommendations to the National Steering Committee of the NCFront for implementation not later than June, 2021

7. To undertake any other relevant tasks that may be assigned by the NCFront National Steering Committee of the NCFront

Eminent Persons to be consulted by this committee for technical Advice are Former INEC Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega, Former Presidential Candidates, such as Prof Pat Utomi, Dr Obadiah Mailafia, Prof Kingsley Moghalu, and the the Co Chairs of the Coordinating and Drafting Committee of People’s Constitutional Dialogue, Dr Olisa Agbakoba, SAN and Dr Hakeem Baba Ahmed as well as National Youth Leaders and NC Front allies in the #EndSars Movement
