At least nine government vehicles, including buses, are on their way to Anka town in Zamfara State to #BringBack317OfOurGirls who were abducted from the secondary school in Jangebe, Talata Marafa, Zamfara State.

An Everyday.ng correspondent on ground disclosed that though the girls had been freed, the state government has not confirmed their freedom.

He said the Governor, Bala Matawalle, was locked in a meeting in Gusau, the state capital, with traditional rulers, even as a federal government delegation is being expected to touch down soon.

The media has been reporting, for over an hour, the release of the girls, which Everyday.ng confirmed happened in a forest in Anka.

The reports say the girls were taken to the palace of the Emir of Anka.

The 317 female students of the Government Girls Secondary School were kidnapped by bandits three nights ago, igniting fears of a repeat of the yet unresolved abduction of girls from from a female secondary school in Chibok, Borno State. 112 of them are yet to return almost seven years after.
