Days to Trump’s tenure end, impeachment unnecessary, says Pence as he blocks move by Democrats

With just a few days to the end of Donald Trump’s tenure, his Vice President, Mr. Michael Pence, has told Speaker Nancy Pelosi that his planned impeachment by the Democrat Party-led Congress is needless.

The decision by Pence comes as Americans of different shades and extractions continue to fear for Inauguration day, January 20, 2021, on account of a Federal Bureau of Investigation report and tension within far right circles.

“Under our Constitution the 25th Amendment is not a means of punishment or usurpation,” Pence said.

“Invoking the 25th Amendment in such a manner would set a terrible precedent,” he added.

Part of the letter also reads, “The Bible says that ‘for everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven…a time to heal, … and a time to build up.’ That time is now. In the midst of a global pandemic, economic hardship for millions of Americans, and the tragic events of January 6th, now is the time for us to come together, now is the time to heal.”

The House is scheduled to debate the article of impeachment against Trump, which charges him with incitement of insurrection in connection to the riot at the Capitol last week.
