(Videos) Tinubu seeks answers from Sanwo-Olu over Lekki shootings as protesters storm UK residence

Must read

A boastful Asiwaju of Lagos and former Lagos Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has debunked speculations making the rounds that his son, Seyi, has been kidnapped. He is also asking Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu if he ordered the calling out of soldiers that shot and allegedly killed # EndSARS protesters.

Tinubu who boasted he remained Jagaban spoke in Lagos as his residence in the United Kingdom was stormed by other protesters who poured invectives on him over alleged complicity in Tuesday shooting at the Lekki Toll Gate shooting

On a visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Tinubu told journalists at the State House in Marina: “if he (Sanwo-Olu) didn’t order the attack, who ordered the attack? That’s all I needed from him.”

“First, we have to segregate the calendar – those who suffered casualty before the protests from the hands of SARS. You have to separate that from those who suffered casualty due to what happened at the toll gate.

“For those who suffered casualty from SARS, the Commission of Inquiry that is already set up will unearth that and will make their recommendations. I trust the calibre and the character of the people there, they are independent…Casualties of Lekki Shootings have some questions to answer; how are they there? How long were they there? What kind of characters are they?

“I’m still the Asiwaju and Jagaban of Lagos…whatever they think, fake news is all over the place. They said Seyi my son was kidnapped, he is here. It is all a joke.”

The billionaire All Progressives Congress (APC) has been in the eye of the since the shooting as many protesters and callers to his telephone line continue to insist he had a hand in the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident.

Initially, he was accused of been the mastermind behind the #EndSARS protest, but later he was accused of getting hoodlums and security agents to neutralise the protesters as they began to cripple his business interests.

Exasperated, he has sought to put a lie to the narratives, stating at a time through his spokesman, Mr. Tunde Rahman, “The initial narrative was he was the one sponsoring protest, now it’s he is the one killing protesters. What a contradiction in terms? This period will surely pass over!”
