The Niger State Government has banned articulated vehicles from plying Minna-Bida road from midnight 15th of this month to allow for speedy completion of the road construction.
The Chairman, Infrastructure and Monitoring Committee, Ibrahim Balarabe, stated this on behalf of the State Government after an expanded meeting of the Committee held at the Government House, Minna.
In a statement, the State Government maintained that the ban is not to inflict pain on any person or group of persons but to improve on the road Infrastructure of the State.
While the modalities for the ban will be made public as events unfold, the State Government says it regrets any inconveniences the closure to trucks may cause the people and called for the coorperation and support of the people to ensure that the desired objective is achieved
