After drugging husband, jealous wife in Taraba castrates husband

An angry housewife of Tella village in Taraba State has allegedly decided that if her husband cannot be exclusively hers, then he has no need of his reproductive organs. She sliced them off with a razor-sharp blade.
A report by forefrontng.com reads: Tella, a village in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State was on Wednesday thrown into confusion as a 32 year old house wife, Halima Umar, cut-off her husband’s penis with razor blade.
The younger brother of the victim, Shagari Umar, told our correspondent that his brother, Aliyu Umar, was sleeping in the same room with his first wife, Halima, who woke up at about 2:00am and cut-off his penis completely.
Shagari alleged that Halima had drugged Aliyu with sleeping tablets before they went to bed which made it easy for her to carry out her alleged plan without any form of resistance from her husband.
Shagari also said that Halima is the first wife of Aliyu, adding that there has been serious crises between Halima and her husband since he took a second wife about three years ago.
According to Shagari; “Halima had continue to engage my brother and his new wife in crisis since their marriage”.
The victim, Aliyu was rushed from Tella about 105 kilometers to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo for medical attention.
Shagari told our correspondent that the victim, Aliyu has been referred from FMC Jalingo to the Federal Medical Centre Gombe, Gombe State for further medical attention.
The Police in Tella village moved in quickly and arrested Halima, who was later moved to the Police Divisional headquarters in Mutum-Biyu, Gassol Local Government Area for investigation.
Halima is said to have a son for Aliyu and is presently carrying an eight months old pregnancy for the husband.
When contacted, the Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP David Misal confirmed the incident, saying that the suspect, Halima Umar is currently in police custody and would be charged to court after investigation.
