(Opinion) Covid-19 on State Visit to Nigeria

God is showing us His true act of mercy – pray we get a full dose of it. In the non-violent way a display of His judgement – cry not as much as we truly deserve
He’s using COVID-19 as measuring instrument – a huge harvest of our penchant for nonchalance.
Is Nigeria going to learn a lesson or two in this season of anomaly?
Mean COVID-19 – the leveler of all humanity has come to Nigeria, as expected.
It came respecting no religion, status, party, tribe, gender, ruler, even culture or tribal marks.
Without the typical Nigerian flamboyance it crippled the powerful and the mighty.
Hiring no thugs or rented crowd of out-of-school children it demobilised the cities.
So uncultured in its wake and without adequate security pass it invaded our House in ROCK.
So virulent in it effontry that it capped the cabal and shook their tables. So fearlessly lawless in its rage that it assailed the LEGISTILOOTERS. So irreligious that it dispossessed the religionists of their influence.
In its wake, the big, the mighty, and the rich are now crying for cover.
The crocodile and python dancers have stopped their music and halted their machines of intimidations
Those who stole our votes to control voices are scared to brag in town. Under its influence the hailers and the wailers are hoarded into one fearful party.
It frightens those who schemed for and have captured power for decades. And they that took us for a ride to rip us of our collective national dignity. Plus those who stole dates, candies and beddings of IDPs and rape the masses have all now finally met their Waterloo unable to wield their power for a season
Covid-19 poked our calculative minds that our CLINIC had gulped N5.2Billion, $USD14+million in 2016-2018. Yet under a fantastically prudent looting fighters we heard the clinic had “no syringe”.
One would have thought we could treat Putin or even Trump effortlessly in our clinic cost free. But this Covid-19 just invalidates our private visit and medical visas when our hospiclinic is inadequate.
Surely this COVID-19 is a spoiler, exposing our collective deception and helplessness. It doesn’t care that on arrival we ignored it and eventually changed its name to ‘COPID ONE NINE PHIRUS.’
How long it stays depend on how the judge of the whole earth tempers justice with mercy. And how this instrument of judgement and tool of mercy is put in its isolated place, away from humans.
Finally, stay safe, away from crowd for now. Keep praying, get soaked in God at all times. When the battle is over, we shall overcome!
