As speculated by Nigeria Everyday hours ago, Aminu Ado Bayero has been named the new Emir of Kano. He was the Emir of Bichi, one of the Emirates carved out of Kano last year.
He takes over six years after his father died and recently deposed emir, Muhammadu Sanusi II, took over.
His announcement comes as videos emerged of a team of policemen arrived the Emir of Kano palace to ferry Sanusi to exile.
Nigeria Everyday reported hours ago that the second son of a late emir of Kano is being prepped to replace Sanusi.
He is said to have read Mass Communication at the Bayero University, Kano.
Sources said his residence had been cordoned off, almost preventing entry and exit from the premises.
Abruptly this Monday, the Kano State Government announced the sack of Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, ending months of speculation of his face-off with Kano Chief Executive, Abdulahi Umar Ganduje.
Sanusi who took on the name of his dethroned grandfather, Muhammadu Sanusi, for the five years, nine months he reign.
He was the 14th emir from the Fulani Sullubawa clan.
