Sounds unbelievable? But it is true! The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) blocked the $8m at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), according to its boss, Col. Hammeed Ali (rtd).
The Comptroller General of the Service, disclosed that the huge sum was found in a bus belonging to the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHco) bus at the airport tarmac.
The money is, however, going to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to conduct a thorough investigation on its source and what it was meant for.
The Customs Service, meanwhile, is grilling a suspect it arrested regarding the huge find.
