Tragically for their little daughter in the two years old marriage, two years and two months after her mother killed her father, she was Monday sentenced to death by hanging, after a court drama could not sway the judge, Justice Yusuf Halilu.
She was charged for culpable homicide in November 2017, and the judge said on Monday, there was compelling evidence to convict the accused. He said she stabbed her husband with intent to kill.
He discountenanced her story that her husband died after he fell on a broken Shisha pot
As he pronounced her guilty, there was bedlam. Her relatives began wailing while she made a dash for the exit.
