The United States Government may be prepping to get involved in the Omoyele Sowore saga following a press conference addressed by one of its Senator, Robert Menendez, who has called for a review of the bilateral relations with Nigeria.
At the conference, Mrs. Opeyemi Sowore, spoke of her trauma in watching the video of her husband’s re-arrest in court. She said she has not told their children of the latest development, just hours after they spoke with their phone on a video call.
Sowore was re-arrested about 20 hours after his release from the Department of State Services (DSS) detention centre. He had been with the DSS since August 3, 2019 until his release on December 5, and subsequent re-arrest the next day.
