Musa Wada celebrates victories of PDP Kogi reps at Appeals tribunal

Must read

The Kogi State Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Engr Musa Wada has congratulated Campaign Director-General Hon TJ Yusuf and the Coordinator of Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency Barrister Ibrahim Shaba at the Election Appeals Tribunal as the duly elected House of Representatives members representing their people.

Engr Wada in a statement issued by his Spokesman, Hon. Faruk Adejoh-Audu, described the victory of the party’s candidates as the triumph of truth over fraud which is a clear sign of the good things to come.

“In less than 48hours our party has recorded two major victories and exposed the electoral heist and devious machinations of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.

“This victory will indeed serve as an encouragement to the masses of our people in Kogi State who have been conditioned to almost conclude that what now counts in elections is might and violence and not the vote of the people.” He said.

Engr Wada thanked Hon Yusuf and Barr Shaba and all the other PDP candidates for reposing their trust in the Judiciary to redress the glaring injustices they suffered rather than resort to extra ordinary means of self help.

The Governorship Candidate said all the seats purportedly won by the APC in the February/March General Elections were obtained by fraud. He regretted that despite the open nature of the fraud some of the beneficiaries still managed to escape justice.

“But we are thoroughly consoled by these few successive victories at a time that the electorate need reassurance that their votes will not be in vain.

“Once more I, on behalf of my self, family and the Campaign Council and the teeming members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State Congratulate our heroes, Hon TJ Yusuf and Barrister Ibrahim Shaba for rekindling the hopes of our people in the system.
