The Federal Government has announced a series of events that will culminate in the distribution of port-folios and swearing- in of 43 Ministers-designate in two weeks’ time.
Details of the events announced by a Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babatunde Lawal, shows that there will be an induction retreat for two days for the Ministers-designate between Monday 19 and Tuesday 20, 2019.

The objectives of the retreat to be presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari are:
▪Build a strong platform for synergy and teamwork
▪Sensitize appointees on the status of the implementation of policies, programmes and projects of government from 2015-date
▪Acquaint the appiontees with the roadmap for delivery of government’s priorities and next level agenda (2019-2023)
▪Deepen the understanding of participants on best practices in conducting government business
After the retreat, the swearing-in of all ministers-designate by the President will follow on the morning of Wednesday, 21st August, 2019 at the Federal Executive Council chambers of the Presidential Villa.
