NDDC gets new board with former Edo Deputy Governor as Chair

President Muhammadu Buhari has reconstituted the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). It is now to be chaired by the former Edo Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu.

The new Managing Director is Bernard O. Okumagba from Delta State.

The appointments are subject to the approval of the Senate.

Other members of the new board and the States and geo-political zones they represent are the Executive Director Projects, Engr. Otobong Ndem, Akwa Ibom; Executive Director Finance & Admin., Maxwell Okoh, Bayelsa; Delta State Representative, Jones Erue; Edo State Representative, Chief Victor Ekhata;
Rivers Representative, Dr. Joy Yimebe Nunieh.

Others are the Abia Representative, Nwogu Nwogu;; Bayelsa Representative, Theodore A. Allison; Akwa Ibom Representative, Victor Antai; Cross River Representative, Maurice Effiwatt; Ondo Representative, Olugbenga Elema; Imo Representative, Hon. Uchegbu Chidiebere Kyrian; Northwest Representative, Aisha Murtala Muhammed (Kano); Northeast Representative, Ardo Zubairu (Adamawa); and Southwest Representative, Engr. Badmus Mutalib (Lagos).

A statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation directed yhe interim management headed by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa to hand-over to the most senior Director in the Commission.

“The Chairman and members of the newly composed Governing Board are by this release invited to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday, 2nd September, 2019 at 2.00 p.m for proper documentation and briefing. They are to come along with their updated CVs and valid identification,” the statement added.
