Insecurity: Pro- Buhari group makes case for Al-Mustapha, others 

The Buhari Integrity Group has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to bring on board competent serving and retired military officers to inject fresh ideas to deal with the nation’s rising security challenges.
National Convener of the B.I.G, Mr. Ahmodu Sampson Anyebe, made the call on behalf of the group at a media briefing in Abuja, on Wednesday.
According to the group, Nigeria was blessed with competent serving and retired military officers who have all it takes to  halt the nation’s slide into anarchy.
It  noted that all that was required was to give such persons a chance to contribute  their quota towards dealing with the problem in a professional manner.
Anyebe said, “There are capable hands who can assist to deal with security challenges particularly the insurgency in the north east and efforts being made to secure the release of Leah Sharibu and the remaining Chibok girls who have been in captivity for over five years.
“We are here basically to draw the attention of the President, Commander – in- Chief of the Armed Forces,  to the  fact that there are patriotic Nigerians like Major Hamza Almustapha (Rtd) who are selfless and ready to assist the government to tackle the high level of insecurity in the land.
“Most importantly, we need to draw Mr. President’s attention to the fact that investigations conducted revealed that the retired major was instrumental to the recent release of the Islamic clerics and prayer warriors who were abducted but released few days later without any ransom paid.”
The group’s coordinator noted that the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress administration deserves commendation for it’s giant strides in revamping the economy and giving the nation a new lease of life.
He said it was also to the credit of the administration that it took power in 2015 at a time the security and economic situation in the country had deteriorated to a near hopeless situation.
According to him, 14 local government areas in Borno State were under the control of Boko Haram insurgents while fuel queues during festive periods were becoming common place.
He stressed that to this administration’s credit the situation has improved for the better because no local government area was today under Boko Haram rule and fuel queues have disappeared.
The group observed  what was now required to improve on these gains was to deal with the growing security challenges to create the right atmosphere for business to thrive to creat jobs for our teeming unemployed youths and the economy will be the better for it. End.
